The elegant Nyonya woman is a beautiful product of an intermingling of cultures.

Accentuating the colourful cultural mix, Nyonya women were typical garbed in the bright shades seen on these dresses!

Greens, turquoises, pinks, purples and yellows mixed with strings of gold are very much identifiable as Peranakan colours.

The floral motifs and vibrant colours were thought to bring longevity, wealth and prosperity to anyone wearing it!

ANDDD, ahem, the adjustable waist is very forgiving when indulging in Michelin Star Nyonya food.
